After attending Yeshivat Shaarei Mevaseret Zion in Israel, Rabbi Zimmer continued his learning in Yeshiva Bnei Torah for many years, where he earned his semicha. He traded cotton, sugar, oil, and gas futures and now invests in real estate, making good use of his BA in Physics from Queens College. He gives the daily intermediate theory-focused Gemara shiur in Yeshiva, and the weekly mishmar shiur in Midrash and Metaphysics, which integrates the positions of Rashi, Ramban, and Rambam with modern discoveries and perspectives. Rabbi Zimmer’s greatest passion is to explore the world of midrash through the lens of Rashi.
